Again thanks to Justin it now stores your backpack key in such a way that you do not have to re enter it when you add backpack pages.

Remember it is still completely encrypted.

Minor usability fixes

Thanks to Justin I have now fixed some usability issues which should make the interface cleaner and easier to use.

The main thing he suggested that I’m working on for the next release is for a user to enter his or her webservice (Backpack for now) information only once.

Did manage to do a reboot release

The work I’ve been doing here at reboot 7 is now fairly stable and I have released it.

You can now add one of your own Backpack pages to one of your groups and let your members invite themselves in. We will be adding a bunch more backpack features soon as well as other web services so keep coming back.

  • Adding a backpack page from your “Stake this!” bookmarklet **

  • Your backpack page within your group **

OpenSauce Lived at Reboot

James and Johnnie gave their OpenSauceLive seminar at Reboot 7.

The basic idea is to not just open up your marketing but also how to open it right. They had some clever little exercises we did to examining the process of collaborating and how to deal with the uncertainty.

The following is the result of one of these exercises I had with Alexis . We had to each draw a line at a time trying to create a face. It was quite interesting, including the analysis. It is sort of like throwing an idea out into the blogosphere and watching it develop into areas you would never have thought. This applies to marketing as when you do collaborative marketing you really need to expect the unexpected and learn how to see where it’s going.

Backpack integration will be first

My new idea for changing the web services architecture in StakeItOut is working great. I was able today to connect fine to BackPack and just need to clean up the gui and test it a bit.

I want it ready to demo at Reboot. I will simultaneously or maybe earlier let the gates open for even more beta testers, so patience.
